Hi all,
This post will show how to modify the settings for the Quick Properties tool.
In the drawing below I have nothing selected.
If I turn on the Quick Properties option at the bottom of the screen, and then select the Surface on screen, I get this dialog presenting information from my object, the TIN Surface in this case.
If you hit the small button in the upper right corner in that dialog you can customize the tool and get the information YOU want to be presented.
Doing that brings up the CUI (Customize User Interface) dialog. See below.
Here we can set what information will be presented for most Civil 3D objects. Browse through them and do your selection. Just don't select TOO much as that will spoil the whole idea with "Quick properties" versus the normal "Properties" window. ;-)
Once you have done some modifications you might find that you still can't see all information you selected. Why? There is another thing that might need tweaking.
When you have the Quick properties dialog up (see the image below) it is possible to access the settings for the Quick properties dialog. Left click just under the "x"
This brings up the options for the Quick properties dialog (Drafting settings)
At the bottom here you can set how many rows will be automatically and instantly presented. (6 in my case)
